ICI Metals Celebrates Opening of New Strongsville Headquarters
Strongsville, OH – December 1, 2010 – Impressive growth over the past several years led to the opening of ICI Metals much larger, state-of-the-art headquarters facility this month. Although the new location is only two miles from their previous Strongsville headquarters, the move to a larger facility was crucial to supporting the company’s growth and strategic initiatives.
Crain's Cleveland Business newspaper recently featured ICI Metals, announcing its latest plans for new development. Due to the need for more space, ICI purchased a 23-acre site to become its new headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio. "One of the new warehouses is so spacious, it looks like an airplane hangar," company owner and president Dan Caine remarked.
That image fits a company that has really taken off in the last few years under Caine's leadership. "With good people - and we've got the best - a company can grow. We'll grow as big as our service capability. We want to be the best service company and our growth will be mediated by that service. Right now, ICI Metals is on the cutting edge of best practices in business."
When Caine is asked what the biggest benefit of the new location is, he quickly replied, “More warehouse space! The new location gives us the opportunity to increase the value-added services we are able to offer our customers. For example, we've increased sawing capabilities. We've also been able to purchase and stock much more inventory, and have increased the speed at which we are able to process orders. Our office space has also expanded, more than tripling the size of our inside sales department, which allows us room for continued growth.”
